I'm almost finished hand quilting!

I thought I should post a few more photos of the progress of my new block of the month quilt. I've been snuggled up of a night time hand quilting. I have to say that so far I've really been enjoying the journey. There's something about the rhythm of quilting that I find relaxing which is probably why I have never been tempted to machine quilt anything. And having my new creation draped across me has kept me toasty warm...double bonus!

Tacking out the quilt was much easier than usual because I now have a lovely old pine work table to help me. I still put all the layers together on the floor and then progressed up to the table once I had some base tacking rows in place. It certainly saved my back!

Ready for the first hand quilting stitch!

Tools of the trade.

Rows of tiny stitches start to emerge.

Hope you have enjoyed seeing my quilting progress.
I look forward to revealing the finished quilt to you all soon.

Warmly Lenna

Awesome is all I can say, little wonder you have not had much time for newsletters. I love it and handstitching is great in winter. Happy stitching/finishing, look forward to seeing more.

Hi Lenna,
The BOM Quilt looks fabulous. The muted colours you have used are really lovely, giving it a vintage feel. Have enjoyed being with you on the journey of your quilt. Now am anxious to see the finished quilt. Tina D.

Oh it is absoultey stunning! I love this pattern and your stitching is beautiful. I love hand stitching, but find that I just don't have enough time. So I save hand quilting for very special projects :o)

Your BOM quilt is absolutely gorgeous and I love the colours you have chosen. There is something about hand quilting that can make a new quilt look "old". Evonne xx
